"Bad officials are elected by good citizens who don't vote."
One of our great privileges, responsibilities, and rights in the United States is that we are afforded the opportunity to vote for many of our government officials.
In Fayette County, along with the rest of Indiana, Election Day polls are open from 6am – 6pm.
Stay in line! That's right, voting is so important that as long as you are in line by the time the polls close, you have a right to remain in line! In Fayette County, like the rest of Indiana, polls are open until 6pm.
If you are in line by that point, you can vote!
Of course! You're allowed to refer to it if, for example, you see a name on the ballot that you simply don't recognize and are curious as to who they are. You may also take a picture of your ballot.
Bring your primary form of identification, most likely an Indiana-issued driver's license or state ID card.
✅ Must include your photograph
✅ Must include your name, which must be identical to or reasonably similar to the name on your voter registration
✅ Must be issued by either Indiana or the United States federal government
✅ If the ID expires, it must have an expiration date after the previous general election (November 11, 2022)
